A Gift of a Different Kind through the Love Button Global Movement

Throughout the year, Be Hive of Healing receives a lot of love from the people we care about the most, our patients, friends and business associates. We see your beautiful smiling faces in our office and receive your well wishes and supportive feedback online and over the phone every day. We feel truly blessed to be surrounded by such love and express our gratitude daily for your presence in our lives.

During the holidays, you really show your love by showering us with the most beautiful gift baskets, flowers, chocolates, and more. While we feel very fortunate to receive such generosity, this year we ask that in lieu of sending us these special things that you consider giving us a gift of a different kind.

Our nonprofit organization, the Love Button Global Movement is currently sponsoring the education of seven young women through the Kenyan Enhanced Empowerment Project (K.E.E.P). For young women in Kenya, an education is the only escape from a life of forced adolescent marriage and female genital mutilation. Those who refuse such horrors are usually rejected by their families and communities. If they cannot enroll in school, the only other option for survival is a life of prostitution.
For those of the seven young women who express a desire to continue with post-secondary education and choose a career in medicine, the Love Button Global Movement has committed to financing their education through Claremont Colleges and Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA, where they will complete the fast track bachelor of science / doctor of osteopathy (BS/DO) program. Ultimately, they will do a residency in family practice with an emphasis in obstetrics and gynecology, before returning to Kenya to help heal their country in many different ways. By educating a few young women, our hope is to inspire many others who would then follow in their footsteps and become the catalyst for the kind of social change that’s so desperately needed in that region of the world.

Your Gift Will Help

This year, please consider giving us a gift that is deeply needed and greatly appreciated by making a donation to the Love Button Global Movement in support of our ambitious and long-term commitment to securing a bright and stable future for seven beautiful young women through education, opportunity and ultimately, self-reliance. The first is set to graduate and arrive in the U.S. for college enrollment in the summer of 2017. At that time, you’ll be hearing much more about these amazing young ladies.

The Love Button Global Movement is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and all donations are tax deductible.

Donations can also be made by calling our office or mailing a check payable to the Love Button Global Movement to our offices at:
