At the age of 23, one should feel the world is their oyster; most 23 year olds fresh out of college have an intense drive and spirit to take on real challenges, in the real world.  I however, had that passion for life, but when my health and body started to fail me, all I wanted to do was shut the world out. I literally felt I was trapped the body of a ninety year old. After several months of dealing with numerous ailments, from sinus infections to a torn hip labrum (the cartilage that lines the hip socket), I could not see the light at the end of the tunnel. Frustrated, miserable and so very drained, I would trek to my weekly doctor’s visits, which included a gastroenterologist, an infectious disease doctor and an orthopedic surgeon, only to leave their perspective offices each time with less and less hope of recovery, a pile of prescription drugs and a huge bill. Every day turned into a battle and a struggle for me.

Through diligent research and the help of my acupuncturist, I was able to learn more about Dr. Sadeghi’s practice and his integrative approaches to healing his patients. And for those of you reading this that cannot relate to the age factor, perhaps you can relate to an injury that you have been told to get surgery for. I saw several orthopedic surgeons, each of which told me that I needed surgery for my hip, at 23 years old! My hip was swollen and slightly infected; I could not walk up stairs, bare much weight on my right side and never thought I would be able to run again. After thousands of dollars for physical therapy, many different prescriptions of muscle relaxers and pain killers, the pain remained persistent.  Again, desperate to find relief and help to heal my hip, I spoke to Dr. Sadeghi and after three months of maintaining a certain diet (that was right for my body) along with some natural remedies and yoga, I am back to running five miles a day and leading a normal life with no pain. I spent the better (worse?) part of 2007 physically deteriorating. I saw various doctors, healers, and alternative practitioners who proffered incongruous theories and expensive prescriptions that only drained the threadbare strands of energy to which I was clinging (as well as my checking account), and exacerbated my frustration. "After two years of feeling terrible, spending countless dollars and hours on doctors who merely rushed me through a cold and heartless process only to tell me I was “just depressed,” I decided to find a health center that treated the whole human being. When I called the office where Dr Sadeghi worked, the woman who answered the phone said: “Dr. Sadeghi is a true healer. He is my doctor.” This impressed me enough to make the first appointment. As an artist, I am not wealthy, and I didn’t think I could afford a doctor my insurance did not cover. In short, Dr. Sadeghi's Program works immediately. The fat on my stomach and elsewhere literally melted away. Dr. Sadeghi carefully spelled out the diet plan and the permissible foods. I was diagnosed with Grave's Disease about fourteen months ago. After experiencing all the classic symptoms of Grave's my regular doctor refered me to an endocrinologist. Life as I knew it would soon be just a memory. As he checked off all my symptoms and reviewed the blood work, he confirmed that my thyroid levels where very high. He also told me that I should really be considering Radiation to get rid of the thyroid. I asked to first try the medicine and see if maybe that would work for me. I was put on Tapazole. As the months passed and I felt no relief from the fatigue, depression and sometimes sleepless nights, the doctor would play with the medication. It got to the point where I couldn't tell if I was feeling sick from Grave's or the medicine. When I addressed my concerns to the doctor he said "You have Grave's, welcome to your knew life".

Not willing to accept my new life, I tried another endocrinologist. I was very disappointed to find that all she knew to do was increase and decrease the meds. Tapazole soon began to affect my liver and I was switched to low doses of PTU. That only allowed for my thyroid levels to increase again. I dreaded my appointments with her. Every one of them went the same way. One hour waiting to be seen, followed by five minutes of my questions not being answered. She could't hide her irritation that I just wouldn't get the radiation done. That would make things so much easier for her. On May 28, she finally broke me down and in my desperation to get better, I began to consider doing the radiation. That day's blood work was still too high. She concluded that if eight pills of PTU where not working, than there was not much else to do. I was heart broken.

By some devine intervention and numerous prayers for a "good" doctor, I was told that Dr. Sadeghi could help me. Finally a doctor who didn't believe that radiation was the only way out. My first consultation could not come fast enough for me. It was all I expected and more. Not only was he interested in healing my thyroid, but bringing a healthy balance to my body and mind. Just after one week of doing his treatment, I had blood work done with the regular endocrinologist. On July 9th I sat across a very puzzled and confused doctor. She was not expecting to see what Dr. Sadeghi knew was coming. My thyroid levels had dropped significantly! So much so that I dipped to low thyroid. She couldn't explain what she had done. But the reality is that two endocrinologists where unable to do what Dr. Sadeghi did in just one week.

I am so excited to have partnered in this healing with Dr. Sadeghi. I am so looking forward to getting back the quality of life I once had. As of today I am starting week four of my treatment. I feel like I have a new life and so much healing has already taken place in my body, mind and heart.

"One day a patient of mine, whom I hadn't seen for a while came to see me, she was looking very good. She told me she was getting treatments from a wonderful western doctor. His name is Dr. Sadeghi, whom actualy, i should meet and work with because he is an integrative practitioner, he even does acupuncture!

Intuitively i felt that i should meet this person, since i was suffering from a chronic abdominal bloating for the past 10 years, and now extreme fatigue and thirst, i had gone to many doctors but no one had managed to help me.

So I made an appointment right away and went to see Dr. Sadeghi. "Prolotherapy…what can I say? After two and a half years of rest and therapy on my left wrist, along with several cortisone injections, the pain was still there on a daily basis.
